Hey guys,
I won't be maintaining #tf2.pug.na any longer. I've put an insane amount of effort into the channel over the time I've been working on the IRC bot and that effort has trickled off to nothing. The channel is in shambles and any work on my part to fix it would be an all or nothing undertaking.
I hate to pick 'nothing' but we've been so ineffective at administering the channel when it needs it the most and I am unable to fix that. I have never had ownership of the #tf2.pug.na channel and all admin related action has had to go through Annuit and now Aristotle. I am appalled by how Aristotle got 500 access in the channel and what he has (not) been doing with it. He will not remedy the situation so I want no part of this admin group.
As for the bot and the servers, they will stay up and running. I will no longer be around to fix any errors or crashes and I leave instructions on how to do so. I'm sure the channel is looking for somebody with the technical expertise to make or improve the IRC bot, so please contact one of the remaining admins if you're interested. You don't have to use my or Cinq's source code and in fact, I'd recommend against it, because one of the surest ways of getting trapped into maintaing software is to make something.
NATF2 development will not be affected. I hope this departure makes both the IRC channel and the website stronger.
